2015 Wisconsin Act 117, effective 1/1/2016, requires that all committees, including conduits, registered with the G.A.B. receiving contributions over $1,000 in a campaign period to file an electronic reporting statement. However, if a conduit does not anticipate spending more than $2,000 in a calendar year, it may amend its registration and apply for an exemption from reporting until it exceeds the $2,000 threshold.
If a committee is under the $1,000 threshold, has not claimed the exemption and is still able to file paper reports, please contact the G.A.B. to receive a printable version of the form via email, fax or mail.
Conduits required to file electronically may enter transactions directly into the CFIS website at cfis.wi.gov, or may access an Excel template and upload transactions by logging in and going to the Upload Transactions screen.
