Government Accountability Board staff will be installing new updates to SVRS this Saturday, September 21, 2013. These updates include significant improvements to the mapping features in SVRS, as well as fixes for some minor defects reported by clerks. This includes:
- Two new kinds of exceptions are being created to help clerks identify voter addresses whose pin may not be in the correct place.
- The tool bar used on the district combo maps is being improved. Extra buttons that are not used are being removed. The buttons used to view exceptions will have new icons that match the pins to make them easier to use. The names of the buttons were updated to make them more understandable.
- The exception counts on the district combo data grid are being updated to refresh more frequently so that clerks have more accurate counts of their exceptions.
- The reports in SVRS for the mapping exceptions have been improved so the reports are easier to read and use.
On Friday, September 20, G.A.B. staff we will publish an additional memo to clerks with more details on the updates to SVRS, including the time window on Saturday when SVRS will be unavailable. Staff also plan to post an updated version of the Mapping chapter of the SVRS manual shortly after the installation, and provide a webinar on the mapping features of SVRS. Stay tuned for further details.
