A new update to SVRS was installed on Sunday, January 6, 2013. This new update to SVRS includes several routine bug fixes, as well as a change to the Contest screen. A new field for “Ballot Instructions” has been added to the contest screen to allow clerks to provide instructions to the voter on how to vote for a given contest. The choices will appear in drop down and include things like Vote for One, Vote for Not More Than Two, etc. These instructions will then appear on the ballots issued online to Military and Permanently Overseas voters using the My Vote website.
Instructions for using this new field are attached to this memorandum on the G.A.B. website.
We would also like to remind clerks that with the new My Vote website, Military and Permanently Overseas voters can download official ballots directly from the website. These ballots are created based on the candidates and contests that are entered into SVRS. Therefore, it is very important that all candidates and contests be entered into SVRS correctly, and that the SVRS information matches your official ballots.
