As clerks continue to enter Election Day Registrations into SVRS, Government Accountability Board staff would like to remind clerks about how Voter Verification Postcards are handled in SVRS.
Please see the attached document for an outline of the Voter Verification Postcard process, including instructions for clerks on how to handle postcards that are returned to the clerk’s office as undeliverable.
Clerks are reminded of the following facts regarding verification postcards:
- G.A.B. mails voter verification postcards on behalf of clerks. Clerks do not need to send their own.
- Self Providers and Providers on behalf of their Reliers are encouraged to review and update the Normal Polling Places assigned to their wards in SVRS, to ensure the postcards display the correct polling place.
- If postcards are returned to the clerk’s office as undeliverable, they should be handled according to the guidance given in the attached document.
Please contact the Government Accountability Board Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or 608-261-2028 if you have any questions regarding this.
