| Clerk Memo Ineligible List 10-22-12.pdf | 40 KB |
The Government Accountability Board (G.A.B.) would like to provide a friendly reminder for municipal clerks and office staff regarding the Ineligible Voter List. All voters that register to vote in the municipal clerk’s office during the late registration time period are required to be compared to the List of Ineligible Voters provided by the G.A.B., via the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
In accordance with Wis. Stat. §6.29(2)(am), before an elector can register to vote in the municipal clerk’s office, the clerk or staff member must review the Ineligible Voter List for their municipality. Directions on how to access this list can be found in the Ineligible Voter List chapter of the SVRS manual at the following link: http://gab.wi.gov/clerks/education-training/svrs-manual.
Reminders about tasks to complete before Election Day, including information on printing the Ineligible Voter List was made available on August 30, 2012 and can be found in Checklist II for the 2012 Presidential and General Election at the following link: http://gab.wi.gov/node/2499.
Please contact the G.A.B. HelpDesk if you have questions regarding the Ineligible Voter List at
(608) 261-2028, or gabhelpdesk@wi.gov. Thank you.
