Voter Information

The next regularly-scheduled statewide election in Wisconsin is the Fall 2014 General Election, which will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014.

In-person absentee (early) voting began Monday, October 20 and runs through Friday, October 31.

At myvote.wi.gov you can register to vote, check your voter registration status, find your polling place, see what's on your ballot, request an absentee ballot (military and permenant overseas voters only), and check provisional ballot status.

Voter Photo ID Status: NOT Required

Voters do not need to show a photo ID to receive a ballot at the November General Election.  The U.S. Supreme Court has blocked implementation of the voter photo ID provisions of 2011 Wisconsin Act 23.

New Free State ID Card Policy for People without Birth Certificates

The Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles has a new policy starting September 15, 2014 to help people get a free state ID card.
